Process

If you have reached this point, you are here for something specific. Perhaps you are going through a major life transition or are about to. This may have you confused, stressed and overwhelmed. It’s ok to feel this way, and is not unusual.

Though it may be the first time you have faced this particular challenge, we have helped many clients successfully navigate the path you are on. No two situations are the same, but having a trusted guide who shares a similar worldview help you navigate these uncertainties is invaluable.

Depending on the complexity of your situation and your planning needs, this process may be longer or shorter than outlined below. All meetings are conducted either in person, over the phone or virtually. This is provided as a rough guide:

Step 1: Initial Call – Complimentary 30 minutes

The purpose is to learn more about the areas of concern you have, determine if you would be a good fit for us and vice versa and answer any questions about our process that you may have. There is no need to provide statements or talk numbers, this is a big picture type of meeting.

Step 2: Moving Forward – 1-2 hours

This meeting may cover some or both of the following areas:

  • All About You – Is where we get into the specifics of your situation, your hopes, fears and dreams. You will need to bring all your financial statements, budget etc to help us get a handle on where you are currently and where you are looking to go.

  • Decision Time – After having time to consider everything that you provided, we will develop alternatives for you to consider to help you reach your goals. Sometimes a decision is made at this meeting, but many times clients want to pray and consider their options further.

Step 3: Implementation - 2-5 hours

Once you have made your decision about what path to take, we help you move in the right direction. You will be given a checklist of things you will need to do, and we will be working on our to do list as well. Keeping everyone informed of progress is an important step of the accountability process.

Step 4: Maintenance – 1-2 hours every year

Your plan is done and in place, but you are not finished. Life happens, things change, and so does your financial plan. We are always available for questions throughout the year, but at least one time a year, we meet with clients to see how they are doing, update them on changes in regulations and see if any changes have occurred in their lives. At this meeting, we recommend course adjustments to keep you on track to meet your goals.
